Dual-Purpose Content for Search Engine Success
October 13, 2007 – 3:38 pmSummary: This article explains the importance of quality website content for real estate search engine optimization and general marketing success.
Content, content, content. You can never have enough!
Quality content keeps people on your real estate website longer and earns their trust, which can lead to a phone call or email from them. In addition, content quantity helps you appear in search engine results for a broad variety of search phrases. That’s why I focus so much on content lessons on this real estate SEO blog (and in the book that this blog supports).
Quick Story
I have a website that offers search engine optimization (SEO) services and advice to companies in Austin, Texas (where I live). The website, www.austinseoguy.com, has a learning center full of tips and articles, in addition to a helpful blog.
About once a week, somebody calls me and says something to the effect of: “You know, I was reading through your website the other day, and I was impressed with your knowledge on this subject. So I called to talk to you about a project I have in mind…”
What prompts people to call me after visiting the website? Content. It’s the quality and quantity of information on that website that generates these kinds of phone calls.
So trust me when I tell you that quality content makes real estate Internet marketing easier and more effective (in addition to supporting your real estate SEO program). The content on my Austin SEO website helps me appear in search engines for relevant search phrases, and it helps me convince people that I know my stuff.
It is dual-purpose content!
