A lot of real estate webmasters use content management systems for easier management / updating of the website. But depending on which type of content management system (CMS) that you use, this can be a trade off. Some CMS programs can make your website harder for search engines to crawl, thus reducing the website’s overall search engine visibility.

Both of these things are desirable — easy website management and good search engine visibility. But can you have them both at the same time. The answer is … sometimes.

Content management systems have come a long way, both in terms of capability and SEO friendly aspects. Today, various CMS programs are available that can help you manage the content on your website while also maintaining the search engine / SEO friendly nature of the site.
