SEO and the Beauty of Passive Leads
August 10, 2007 – 7:27 pmPassive leads are nothing short of a blessing for real estate agents. In this context, “passive leads” refers to web-based inquiries you receive from prospective clients without proactively seeking them.
For example, if a home buyer in your area finds your website while researching the local real estate scene and then contacts you … that’s a passive real estate lead you can pursue.
Technically speaking, of course, there’s no such thing as a truly passive lead. You always have to do something for people to “stumble across” you. You have to develop a website and grow your web presence in order for people to find you online. But once these elements are in place, you can enjoy a constant supply of new real estate leads without actively seeking them out.
Can you imagine the marketing burden this would lift off your shoulders, having people contact you for a change? When people find you online while conducting real estate research — and if your real estate website does a decent job converting traffic into viable leads — then you don’t have to imagine this type of scenario. You can actually experience it! Then you wouldn’t have to work as hard on direct marketing, cold calling, etc. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Internet usage has reached such a level that any real estate agent can benefit from search engine optimization (SEO). That’s why I’ve written this book for you. Follow the plan in this book and you can increase your online visibility … which can make your website a lot easier for people to find … which can give you a steady stream of passive leads.
